The New Westminster Museum & Archives in New Westminster, British Columbia has opened a new exhibit. Hot off the Press: Printing in New Westminster, which includes information about friend of the Foundry Jim Rimmer, runs from February 13 to April 28, 2013.
Making Faces, a film by Richard Kegler documenting the lost art of pantographic type making, will have two showings at the Museum of Contemporary Craft on October 29 at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, with a Q & A session with the filmmaker after each showing.
The enduring friendship between Chris Stern and Jim Rimmer was sparked not only by proximity of location, but their passion for typography and for letterpress printing.
