The New Westminster Museum & Archives in New Westminster, British Columbia has opened a new exhibit. Hot off the Press: Printing in New Westminster, which includes information about friend of the Foundry Jim Rimmer, runs from February 13 to April 28, 2013.

On October 15, the Foundry cast a run of 150 pieces of the “st” ligature of Jim Rimmer’s Stern font on the Orphan Annie.

Film screening of “Making Faces” at MOCC

Making Faces, a film by Richard Kegler documenting the lost art of pantographic type making, will have two showings at the Museum of Contemporary Craft on October 29 at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, with a Q & A session with the filmmaker after each showing.
