Progress on two fronts

It’s been an exciting week here at the Foundry. Our Kickstarter project to restore our Orphan Annie Sorts Caster got off to a great start – with 80% of our goal pledged during the first week – and we continue to make progress on the ventilation system.

Foundry receives IBM Community Grant

Our efforts got another boost this week with the award of a $500 IBM Community Grant. This award will help us create a museum quality display of working foundry equipment. Thanks, IBM!

Foundry receives Puffin Foundation grant

We are happy to announce that the Foundry is the recipient of a 2010 Puffin Foundation Ltd. grant of $700 to help with operational expenses (i.e. the rent!) as we build out the foundry and museum space.
