We’re excited to announce that as part of hosting the American Typecasting Fellowship 2012 Conference, the Foundry has organized a screening of Linotype: The Film at the McMenamins Kennedy School Theater. Tickets are included in ATF conference fees or they can be purchased by non-conference attendees for $10 per ticket. You can purchase tickets in advance here.

The film is a feature-length documentary centered around the Linotype linecasting machine. To view a trailer of the film, click here. Join us for a “Meet & Greet” in the Library with Linotype operators and printers at 6 p.m., screening to follow at 7 p.m. The filmmaker will be in attendance, and time will be available for Q&A after the screening.

This is going to be a fun event in a great venue and a good opportunity to rub elbows with some talented print craftspeople. So grab a pint, a burger or a slice and enjoy the show!

This screening is funded in part by the Regional Arts & Culture Council.
